BOI FAIR 2011 gives an “Elephant doll” for first 100 visitors

Dr. Atchaka Sibunruang, BOI Secretary General said that on the extended date for the BOI FAIR 2011, this coming Saturday 21 and Sunday 22, the BOI FAIR 2011 will give an elephant doll (JUM BO – I : BOI FAIR MASCOT) as a gift for person who was born on the day 21 and 22 of every month. Only first 100 person who shows up and shows ID card or driving license at Organizer Office on this Saturday only.
The BOI Fair 2011 will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and special transportation will be provided for visiting the fair, including the Impact Link, a shuttle that will carry visitors between the Mor Chit electric trains station and the Fair at Impact, Muang Thong Thani. The shuttle will run every 30 minutes, between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. throughout the 16 days when the fair is open.
On the extended date, visitors can enjoy the pavilions offering exhibits by major private sector companies, which feature outstanding examples of recent innovation and new technology that point the way to the future.
Among the displays is an earthquake-proof house designed by SCG, an “Office of the Future”, and a Canon lens with a zoom powerful enough to show the surface of the moon. There is also an exhibit of the “City of the Future”, a Toshiba photocopying machine capable of deleting data, a 3D World created by Panasonic, a PTT-designed adventure about locating petroleum resources, and innovative agricultural equipment made by Kubota. An exhibit by CP Group demonstrates that food production, energy and the environment can co-exist harmoniously.
The Honda Pavilion with its display of green automotive technology, and the Toyota Pavilion, which presents the company’s own futuristic technology, including robots designed to assist humans and portable personal vehicles.
The GM Pavilion, the General Motors Company exhibits the self-navigating EN-V car, which automatically takes passengers to a specified destination. At the Mitsubishi Pavilion one of the main attractions is the i-Miev electric car, which uses lithium batteries instead of gasoline as the energy source. The Nissan Pavilion, too, shows visitors a vehicle that runs completely on electrical power and invites them to experience the world of the future as it will be in 2030 in 4D, using the Nissan Leaf car as a point of perspective.
The Suzuki Pavilion is exhibiting the prototype of an electric car that uses a hybrid system. If the battery runs low, a gasoline motor takes over that also produces current to recharge the exhausted. Also on display at the pavilion is a compact electrical motorcycle.
The Yamaha Pavilion is exhibiting environmentally aware technology, including an eco-friendly vehicle exhaust system, while the Isuzu Pavilion is presenting the company’s latest D-Max technology.
